I am an eyewear junky and have multiple pairs of glasses from these folks. Prior to the opening of he Spectacle, I would shop out of town. The service, fashion and creativity of The Spectacle is unmatched. Wide selection of brands and styles. They focus on finding a look which fits your style within your budget. They're not going to sell you glasses or sunglasses unless you're thrilled.
Figuring out who the new me is.

I went to the Spectacle to get a new pair of glasses with my wife, and we were impressed by the selection of really well-designed and fashionable pieces. When they were made and sent to me, I came to the conclusion that they were not only the best-feeling pair of glasses I ever had, they were also the best crafted pair of glasses I have ever had. I am grateful for the upgrade in quality and service that I experienced with The Spectacle and though I am not looking forward to expense of getting new glasses again, I at least know where I am going to happily go, when that time arises.
I've changed my mind about laser eye surgery!
When it was time to get new glasses, my first progressive lens, I went straight to the Spectacle. Not only did I get a gorgeous pair of new glasses and outstanding service, I was able to put my new glasses on and walk out of the shop without any transition period. The digital lens are that amazing! In fact, I didn't even know there was supposed to be a transition period with progressive lens. After a week in my new glasses, I realized I had to have another pair. I had a nice rimless frame from an old pair of glasses and brought them to Wick to see what he could do. In no time at all I had my second pair -- refurbished, beautifully finished, with crystal-clear clarity. I couldn't be happier! I had been considering laser surgery, but now that I see what's possible I'd rather just get new glasses at The Spectacle. Thanks, Wick!

The folks at The Spectacle convinced me to go with the (digital) progressive lens style, and I'm very happy with the results. I was definitely skeptical to make a big change from the bifocals I've been wearing for almost 20 years, but now am really glad I took the leap! Thanks!!

I visited The Spectacle in search of a pair of frames. This was my first pair of glasses, and the service was excellent. The Owner, Wick is great at helping pick out the perfect frames to fit your face. He is very personable and the customer service was far better than any other eye glass shop in the area. I highly recommend giving The Spectacle a chance if you are looking for some new frames or your first pair. |

The Spectacle is the only place to buy eyewear! Wick, the owner, is extremely knowledgable and a joy to work with. My husband, daughter and I have purchased prescription glasses from Wick and we are 100% satisfied. Wick is able to look at your face shape and pick out the right eyewear for you each and every time. His 'spectacles' are works of art. Wick also offers digital prescription lenses which are amazing...love them! They truly make a huge difference -the clarity is unbelievable! Definitely worth the money - your eyes are worth it!

My husband bought a new pair of glasses from The Spectacle and it was an awesome experience. Wick, the owner, took a very personalized approach and made sure to recommend frames that complimented my husband. He was honest in his assessment of how the frames looked and didn't try to pressure us into uber-expensive glasses that didn't look good. The quality of the frames are great, the customer service is excellent, and the business is locally-owned (always a plus). Glasses were made QUICKLY and the workmanship is solid. We highly recommend The Spectacle!

I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with the RE XLRs I purchased yesterday and the service surrounding their sale. I was very pleased to see you happened to have pretty much the exact selection of lenses I wanted for the frame I preferred. The gentleman that helped me with the sale, I believe his name was Gregor, was extremely friendly and helpful and offered to have the one lens set you didn't have sent directly to me, to save me a trip back. When I need glasses in the future, for shooting or otherwise, there is only one place I'll shop.

At 43, I had a prescription for my very first glasses ever. I happened to be at North Hills and stopped in The Spectacle and spoke with Wick, the owner. What a great time I had. Wick is truly gifted with fitting the perfect glasses to the face. All of the glasses in his store are beautiful pieces of art in the first place, but he has such a talent of knowing what will be the most complimentary. Sadly, he doesnt take my insurance and the pair I wanted would have been over $700, which was cost prohibitive for me. Wick understood this and not for one moment was he anything but understanding and respectful of my budget. We parted amicably. I have to advise anyone with money and in need of glasses to go to The Spectacle and The Spectacle only.

The Spectacle is brilliant and Wick is the added bonus. As soon as [Wick] and I started talking "shop" about eyewear, you could feel the love of his work in his words. Wick is a walking dictionary in the fine art of eyewear. I have bought eyewear from all over, but The Spectacle is the place that has no equal. I make it a point to stop in when I come to Raleigh from Maui. There simply is no other shop like it and I always see a "must have", whenever I drop in.
